May Top 11

SKREALAND TOP 11 air its 50th episode. Nowadays people do not seriously follow music charts. Today it is more about selling records and streaming figures. But I still believe that playlists and podcasts can’t exist without bangers, and bangers will always be rivalled by floppy tracks. Just have a look at June Top 11 here, at SKREALAND:

11. WEN – BACKDRAFT
10. BRANDON FLOWERS – CAN’T DENY MY LOVE
09. DAMIAN LAZARUS & THE ANCIENT MOONS – TROUBLE AT THE SEANCE
08. STEPHAN BODZIN – SUNGAM (FUR COAT REMIX)
07. POMPEYA – REAL
06. AMINATA – LOVE INJECTED
05. OOT – ONE PING ONLY
04. AMON TOBIN – IN YOUR OWN TIME (EPROM REMIX)
03. NICOLAS JAAR – THE THREE SIDES OF AUDREY AND WHY’S SHE’S ALL ALONE NOW
02. HOT CHIP – NEED YOU NOW
01. DISCLOSURE FEAT. GREGORY PORTER – HOLDING ON

You probably haven’t heard anything about WEN, but his track is actually rather good light dubstep draft to be missed from my top 11. The Killers frontman has come out from the band for his second solo album, but the first single is not any good to be compared with Mr Brightside or any other hits from the American Brit-Pop finest act. Underground dance music coolest DJ Damian Lazarus accidentally decided to start a band and they dropped the LP, called Message From The Other Side. If I don’t want to wear any fur wardrobe, then I always want to listen to FUR COAT from Venezuela – any stuff from the duo is highly anticipated! Pompeya is an indie rock band from Russia, successfully exported to America, and they’ve got new album, Real 2015. Aminata has represented Latvia at the Eurovision song contest and took the 6th place. Honestly, even I haven’t heard anythong about OOT, but this tune is really techno-garage-like! Amon Tobin works normally sound experimental, but EPROM made his current experiment sound like darkwave glitch. You don’t quiet often hear new stuff from Nicolas Jaar, and his first 12 inch in 6 years has got a fantastic b-side about Audrey and her issues. Hot Chip is London sound band, but this time they have come back with the house ballad. And 50th SKREALAND TOP 11 winner is Disclosure with their Holding On banger, where they stick to their very own UK-garage roots.

What you listen to is how you feel. I feel very eclectic, but musical diversity portrays my geometrical mood. SKREALAND TOP 11 gives cool tips to pick your own playlist for a day or activity. You have got an option of collecting or erasing the information that you get from this articles. Shuffle mode is tolerable. Ha-ha-ha
